Over the weekend the 85th annual Masters golf tournament took place. It is held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. It is always a big event drawing in large crowds, over thousands of spectators, to watch some of the world’s top golfers. The course is known for its beautiful scenery and overall views, not to mention its overall extreme toughness. It’s so special that the course can only be played on once a year, during the tournament. It is  widely regarded as one of the top courses in the world.

This year’s tournament winner was an American by the name of Scottie Schefter at a score of (-12) or 12 under par. This is his 1st  time winning this tournament. He won not only the illustrious Green Jacket, but a reward of $15,000, a lifetime membership to the club, and the title of champion of the event.
