This year Springville has gotten a new patrol officer, Officer Whit Burttram. Officer Whit graduated from Springville in 2014. He started his career in the Navy and was there for four years, after that he became a cop in Steele. He started here at Springville two weeks ago. His first day at Springville High School a fire broke out. It was a very eventful first day, and his efforts to get everyone out was much appreciated. He was sure there were no students left in the building and contacted emergency services. When asked about patrolling the school, he said, “It’s a great school to be at with good kids.” Students are looking forward to having Office Whit continue the school year at SHS.
