Veteran’s Day was last Friday, November 11th. Veteran’s Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I to honor U.S. veterans. There are teachers at Springville who are veterans, and one of them is Mr. Saxon. Mr. Saxon is proud of his service in the army as an E6. He said, “My job is to play trumpet in the army. I get the opportunity to provide something to other soldiers that they all love which is music.” Mr. Saxon was also able to demonstrate a proper salute. Springville students are lucky to have honorable veterans like Mr. Saxon teach at the school. This holiday is a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
