Chinese spy balloon

The spy balloon before it was shot down

From January 28th to February 4th there was a Chinese spy balloon that spotted over North America. It was first spotted in Alaska and it was eventually shot down ended in eastern Canada. The U.S. Air Force shot the spy balloon down at 9:00 am, and it was confiscated by the government. So far, the public does not know the reason for the balloon. Once the balloon reached the Atlantic coastline and floated over open waters, military officials shot it down at an altitude of roughly 60,000 feet near Surfside Beach, South Carolina. As of their most recent update, they planned to recover as much of the balloon as possible.
