My name is Cameron Shaw, and I am a junior at Springville High School. I am also a new student here at Springville. My past two years of high school were spent at Pinson Valley High School in Pinson, Alabama. Since I have been here at Springville, I have had to make several adjustments. I have had to make new friends and get used to new people and a whole new school. Since I have been here, the teachers and students I have come in contact with have been incredible! Everyone has welcomed me along with all the other new students this year. So far I am enjoying it here. This is a great school and I plan to do the best I can do academically and make some life-long friends while I’m at it.

Being a new student in a whole new building with people you aren’t used to can be a tough adjustment, but if you keep an open mind and play by the rules everything will work out in time. If you meet a new student, help them out because being new can be really hard.
