Every year at Springville High School, Students Against Destructive Decisions (S.A.D.D.) sponsors Red Ribbon Week. The purpose of Red Ribbon Week is to show support and commitment to living a drug-free lifestyle. Students raise awareness of the prevention of drugs by participating in dress-up days during the week. This year Red Ribbon Week is October 25 through the 29. Monday is “Hats off to being DRUG FREE!!!” (Wear your favorite hat), Tuesday is “Give drugs the boot!” (Wear your favorite boots), Wednesday is “Be ALL you can be- DRUG FREE!!!” (Wear Camouflage), Thursday is “Go RED for RED RIBBON WEEK!” (Wear RED attire), and Friday is “TEAM UP AGAINST DRUGS!!!” (Wear SHS apparel). S.A.D.D. hopes you decide to live a drug free lifestyle and show your support of drug prevention by dressing up.
