November’s SHS Student Spotlight is focused on Jake Connor. Jake is a freshman football player. In fact, Jake starts as a safety for the Tiger defense. His favorite thing about football is the competition, especially during the Pell City game. He has had 25 tackles this season alone. As a freshman football starter, he is also held to a higher standard for grades. He has all A’s in his classes. He also plans to try out for the baseball team. He has already made the basketball team. One lesson Jake has learned that acting stupid gets you made fun of. If you see number seven on the field, make sure you cheer him on!
