Party Treats!
March 18, 2022
I’m back with another special recipe, this time made original by my great-grandmother. It’s a simple recipe you can follow along with, perfect for any event. The recipe is for a sweet treat that my Memaw made and labeled Candy which is actually a light fudge. She would make this for every Christmas event with her own homemade Rice Krispy treats. I’m not strong on fudge, but her recipe is different; it’s not as rich. I will list ingredients and the steps to follow for a delightful dessert.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 sticks of butter
- 4 cups of sugar
- 1 can of evaporated milk
- 1 jar marshmallows cream
- 1 package of chips
- (pecans if wanted)
STEPS
- melt butter
- add sugar and condensed milk
- cook for 30 minutes or until mixture forms a ball in cold water
- add marshmallows cream and chocolate chips
- beat mixture until stiff
- add pecans if using
- pour into 9×13 pan
If you decide to try the recipe I hope you enjoy it!
