On Saturday, April 3, 2022, the body of Cassie Carli was found in Springville off Highway 11. The body was discovered by the Santa Rosa County sheriff’s office while they were carrying out a search warrant. She was found in a shallow grave in a barn located at 7826 Highway 11 in Springville, which was nearly 300 miles away from her last seen location on a beach in Navarre, Florida. They currently have a suspect, Marcus Spanvelo, who was arrested in Tennessee earlier this month and is at the jail in Moore County, Tennessee, on charges of tampering with evidence and giving false information in reference to a missing person investigation.
