When returning to school at SHS this year, students were shocked to learn that cell phones were banned for personal use. Students were warned that they will receive warnings and punishments for not following the rules; however, some students have attempted to use their phones in secret. On Monday, August 29, 2022, fellow student Brian Cook was caught in the lunchroom with his phone. He was showing his friends a picture without realizing that he was not allowed to use his phone in the lunchroom. Coach Easterwood noticed this and reported him to Coach Vann. “It was kind of scary, because I thought I would get in trouble with my parents if I got my phone taken away,” says Brian Cook the day after the incident. Brian now understands the rules and knows how to follow them.
