On October 8th, the mighty band from tiger land traveled to Piedmont, Alabama to perform in the Chief Ladiga Marching Band Festival. The band competed against schools like Scottsboro, and Weaver. Springville dominated, winning Superior Drum Major, Superior Danceline, Superior Cologuard, Superior Percussion, Superior Band, Best in Class Danceline, Best in Class Cologuard, Best in Class Percussion, the Don Wheeler Overall General Effect Winner, and tied for the Gold Division Overall Winner. Section leader Annie Grant is proud of her clarinets, stating they were, “…working extra hard in preparation’ the entire band even practiced from 6-9pm last Thursday.” Overall, the seniors had an amazing last competition full of wins and good memories.
