Since August 2022, Springville High School has been attended by Alvaro Ibanez- an exchange student from Spain. He is very involved in Springville High School life; he was in cross country team2, and now he is testing his strength in tennis. From his American experience so far, he remembers his first meeting with host family at the airport- it looks like from movies. He also experienced new cultural moments like spending thanksgiving with his host family in Tennessee. In school, he loved attending to pep rallies and football games. “It’s not that beautiful,” Alvaro said that also big struggle is manage with own problems, “being so far away from family and friends for long period of time can be hard.” But his advice is, “to not be afraid of anything and enjoy life by learning and getting experiences .” His own goal is to keep enjoying as much as he can.
