The Best Vending Machines

In Springville High School, there are many options to buy food on campus. Other than the lunchroom and special school events, the main ways to get something to snack on are from the various vending machines scattered around the eggshell-white halls. Due to some machines having different items, it provides a reason to go around half of the school for a lukewarm 20-ounce Minute Maid that costs more than a 2 liter bottle at Walmart. Here are some of the best items separated by where the item can be found (upstairs and downstairs), and if it’s either a food or a drink.

Upstairs, the drink section is relatively limited. Standard items like Coca-Cola, Dasani water, Diet Coke, and Dr. Pibb cost $1.50 each. If you are feeling groggy, Mellow Yellow has the highest caffeine content of all the drinks sold on school grounds. The accompanying snack machine holds mostly sweets: Snickers, Chewy Lemonheads, Reese’s Cups and the like.

The downstairs section is where things get expensive, where the maximum price for a single item exceeds $2.00. In addition to the products mentioned above in the drink section, Orange and Strawberry Fanta, diet Mellow Yellow, Fruit Punch and Watermelon Minute Maid are available. For the snacks, Cheez-itz, gummy bears, sour gummy worms and Fruit by the Foot are all available. No matter the cost or what floor it is on, they’re all stuck behind a glass pane until your dollar sets it free.
