The 2021 World Series has come to a close, and the Atlanta Braves have won in 6 games. The Georgia sports curse has finally been broken. Ever since the infamous super bowl 51, Georgia sports teams have constantly blown leads in big games, including the Braves blowing a 3-1 game lead in the NLCS to the Dodgers, who they beat in this year’s NLCS. It is a bit of a miracle that the Braves even made it to the World Series. Mid-season they lost one of their best players, Ronald Acuna Jr., to a torn ACL. The Braves were below .500 and almost had no shot a the playoffs, but they made some moves before the trade deadline, and they rallied to win their division and become the 2021 World Series Champions.
