This past Friday, Springville played their homecoming game against Fultondale. During the first quarter, Fultondale would score on the first drive of the game to take a lead of 6-0, Next, Jamel Williams would return a 77-yard kick return to tie the game at 6. After a Fultondale punt, Ashton Frye would find Johnnie Wolf for a touchdown pass. Then, Patrick Bennett would convert a two-point conversion to take a lead 14-6. Luke Richardson would then recover a fumbled pass for a touchdown to give Springville a 21-6 lead. Fultondale would then score to make the score 21-14. Before the half, Mahlon Alverson would score to give Springville a 28-14 lead at halftime. The third quarter was scoreless, but Springville wasn’t finished. In the fourth quarter Ashton Frye would find Peyton Splawn for a 13-yard touchdown for a score of 35-14. After a interception from Jacob Neal, Patrick Bennett would run for a touchdown to lift Springville over Fultondale with a final of 42-14.
